MEET THE STAFF

Aaron Lasky - Publisher, Editorial/Advertising Director, Managing Editor, Webmaster
CONTACT FOR: Advertising information, wholesale orders, contributions from writers, website questions, Calendar Girl submissions, art and music submissions, etc.
E-MAIL: kingpin@bak.rr.com
Former Publisher at Petersen Publishing (now known as Primedia), who headed-up Hot Rod DeLuxe magazine at Petersen, then left to successfully start up Car Kulture DeLuxe magazine (which is still in production), is the spearhead behind Kingpin, which targets both the lovers of pre-'65 traditional hot rods and customs, but also anything post-'65 car-related that is "cool." "Cool" being off-the-wall, one-of-a-kind, and/or outrageous. Aaron will handle major advertising, creating/updating website, soliciting magazine dealers/distributors/subscribers, promotion in general, copy editing, writing stories/articles, and making the sure the magazine keeps it's focus.

Graham Strouse - East Coast Editor
E-MAIL: poor_grendel@yahoo.com
Our resident malcontented Yankee punk, Graham jealously holds fast to his title of "Worst-Wrench-in-the-Biz" and would like to think of himself as the Dennis Rodman of automotive jurnalism, but he's never dated Madonna or wears feather boas in public, and this seems to work against him. We have to call in Wildlife Control now & then when he goes off on a binge, but when properly medicated he's a pretty fly scribe. Graham spent one of the best years of his life chunking out columns & features twice daily as The Machine Guy for IGNformen, and fills in the blanks as a mercenary shill covering news, sports, and features for newspapers and magazines. He's even a published poet, but we try not to hold that against him. "Stay safe," he says. "Sane is optional; and not necessarily reccomended." Whatever. Contact Graham any time you get the urge to talk planes, trains, or automobiles. More than likely, he'll get back to you. In fact, you can pretty much count on it. He presently makes his base in Sarasota, Florida, where the sun sets late & winter's nothing but a bad memory.

Jim Sullivan - Feature Editor
E-MAIL: akamr409@hotmail.com
Jim is a life-long gear-head and ran his own rod shop for over 20 years, building hot rods, street machines, muscle cars, tall trucks and low trucks. He also ran a used high performance parts business, and even managed a 1,200 vehicle antique/collector car salvage yard for a few years. He’s been an avid car magazine collector since the 1960’s, and has a collection of over 40,000 magazines from 1917 to the present. Also taking up space in his garage is a nice collection of automobilia, including gas station/garage stuff and his cars, a lowered 1958 Chevy Apache pickup, and a 1962 Chevy BeLair 2-door hardtop. Jim will be writing articles on cars, events, car clubs, and print/web media "roundups" from around the globe.
